  • Certification: Recognized certificate valid for 3 years.
  • Accreditation: Approved by relevant national first aid bodies, suitable for activity leaders, coaches, and instructors.

  • Sports coaches, fitness instructors, and personal trainers.
  • Outdoor activity leaders, such as hiking, climbing, or adventure instructors.
  • Youth group leaders and volunteers for outdoor programs (e.g., Scouts, Guides).

Course Content

Participants will learn how to: 

 

Assess and Manage Emergencies

  • Perform a primary and secondary assessment.
  • Respond to an unresponsive casualty (CPR, including AED usage).
  • Manage choking incidents.

 

Injury Management

  • Treat sprains, strains, and fractures.
  • Handle head, neck, and spinal injuries.
  • Address bleeding, burns, and shock.

 

Activity-Specific Scenarios

  • Recognize and manage heat exhaustion, heatstroke, and hypothermia.
  • Respond to injuries from falls, collisions, or equipment.
  • Provide first aid for environmental incidents, such as stings and bites.

 

Illness Recognition

  • Respond to asthma attacks, allergies, and anaphylaxis.
  • Recognize and assist with diabetes and seizures.
